So they can make an informed decision for their pregnancy and their future. **Our Vision is Simple:** To foster a community that feels like family - where no woman, or man, walks through pregnancy alone, and where individuals are nurtured as parents, preparing for their future, and are valued as a person. #### A Word from Our Team   ### Our Story In 2021, God placed a clear calling on the heart of our founder, Sharonda, to create a place of hope for families facing unplanned pregnancies in York County and the Charlotte area. She saw a need for a safe space where women could receive support without judgment and where families could grow in strength and confidence. In July 2022, Sharonda shared this vision with a small group of women who felt called to help bring it to life. Together, Andrena, Teresa, LaShawn, Mary, Melody, Donna, Jennifer, and Christina committed to building one of the first African American women-owned pregnancy centers in South Carolina, a center rooted in faith, compassion, and community. By August 2023, Divine Fountain Of Hope Women’s Center opened its doors in York, South Carolina. What began with diapers, wipes, and parenting classes has grown into a center offering pregnancy support, fatherhood programs, peer support groups, mentorship, and expanding medical services. > We exist to support, provide resources, and to help women make informed decisions about their pregnancies. We are here so that no one feels alone. At Divine Fountain of Hope, we don’t just provide services, we build family. ###### **Our Why** ## **Abortion Touches Every Community** Women obtaining abortions come from every racial and ethnic background: **30% Hispanic, 30% non-Hispanic White, 29% Black, 4% Asian, and 7% other races**, demonstrating that the need for life-affirming support transcends every community.
